He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Sousa Silveira and Josefa Sousa (Caterina); and his siblings, Jose Silveira, Maria Leal and Ilda Maria Silveira.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Ermelinda Sousa (Goulart); his children, Aurea DeSousa of Pawtucket, Victor Sousa of Attleboro and Paul Sousa of Pawtucket; his grandchildren, Evan, Caleb and Kaia; and his siblings, Antonio Silveira (Aureo Silveira) and Azores. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
